Your U-turn Youth Advisory Committee (YUYAC)
The Your U-Turn Youth Action Committee (YUYAC) is for those Grade 10, 11 and 12 students who would like to have a voice in the direction of the Your U-Turn program. If you have registered to Your U-turn via the website, you are invited to be a part of this committee, which convenes once a month to discuss the action projects associated with Your U-turn, and helps improve the structure and offerings of the program from a youth perspective.
The committee will consist of City of Surrey staff and Your U-Turn program staff, and will have a capacity of 10 students per semester. The time limit set for individual student participation on the committee is subject to the volume of interest received from the Grade 10, 11 and 12 students in Surrey.

Project Overview
Time commitment: 2 hours per month
Participation Activities:
The purpose of the meetings may vary depending upon the season and availability of action projects. The goal each time will be to discuss the current selection of action projects, and to explore the potential for the addition of other sustainability-related initiatives from a Surrey youth perspective. The Your U-turn program aims to encourage leadership in YUYAC participants; therefore, we strive to create an environment that supports the inclusion of diverse opinions to mold the program. Your U-turn relies on your suggestions to evolve a vibrant program that will make a difference for communities in Surrey.
